The Cherokee is one of the more expensive compact 4x4s and it won't be cheap to run. Sizeable emissions put it in the top company car tax bracket and, where most rivals boast average fuel consumption in the high 30s, the manual Cherokee averages just 32.8mpg. Servicing and insurance bills are also likely to be comparatively high, but it will, at least, be worth a decent amount come resale time.
